Antelope and Elk Hunts - 2002
Antelope Hunts
The Hunting Area: Come join us in picturesque Colorado for an antelope experience not soon to be forgotten. Nestled in Northwestern Colorado, our hunt takes place on the famed Bitterbrush Ranch near Maybell on over 40,000 deeded acres of premiere antelope range. Over the last several years our bowhunters have experienced 100% shooting opportunities, over 90% success rate with over 65% record books animals. After eleven years of trophy management, our number of trophy animals just keeps getting better!

What makes our antelope hunt so special? When I purchased the private lease of the Bitterbrush ranch I realized I had a very unique opportunity to offer hunters a top notch, quality hunt at a fair price. I wanted to maintain that quality so I approached the Colorado Division of Wildlife for their help and guidance. A program known as "Ranching for Wildlife" was adopted and was in effect from 1986 to 2000. In 2000, The state of Colorado Purchased a portion of the ranch. This took us out of the "Ranching for Wildlife" program. But we still maintain a huge hunting area with the same quality of antelope. Unfortunately we can no longer offer the guaranteed licenses. But for the hunter willing to get in on the general draw, we can still offer a fantastic antelope hunt. . Most of your shots will be 30 yards or less from a sitting down position, in pit blinds and at water holes.
